EICR - Electrical Installation Condition Report
There is a legal requirement that every 5 years private landlords must have all electrical installations inspected and tested by a qualified electrician. Our team at LDD Electrical are fully qualified in all aspects of the trade, we work with several private companies and landlords and carry out this essential work. We will check all electrical installations, including:
- Sockets and switches
- Fuse boxes
- Light fittings
- Any permanent electrical items such as showers and extractors fans. This does not include cookers, hobs, fridges etc.
At the end of the inspection your property will be graded, and we will highlight any work that is needed. We will also categories the work that needs doing, it will look like this:
- C1 - immediate action, danger to life
- C2 - urgent action- potential danger
- FI - further investigation needed
- C3 - improvement needed, no danger
Our team will be on hand every step of the way and will make sure everything is dealt with in the first instance.
When everything is complete your tenants will be left with a certificate, and we will forward one to you. The EICR is valid for 5 years for the property that has been inspected, you do not need to do this with every new tenant.
